Whitney Deane grew up in Paris, Ontario. Now a Millards Partner, she continues to reside in Paris and has remained a fan and supporter of her increasingly popular tourist town.

“Paris was an amazing place to grow up and I love it for all it has to offer. My family and I enjoy floating down the Grand River on a hot summer day.”

Dean joined Millards in 2010 beginning as a co-op student after graduation from the School of Accounting and Finance Program in Waterloo. Her most recent position as an Associate earned her attention and accolades for her dedication to clients and her pursuit of accounting excellence.

Julie Baetz, CPA, CA, LPA, and Partner at Millards approached Deane and suggested she consider Partnership.

Deane’s passion for numbers and her interest in accounting began at an early age. 

“I excelled in math in high school. I wasn’t just good at it, I really loved it… and so the path to a career in accounting was a natural progression for me.”

Today, Deane applies her skills to solving client challenges and helping their businesses and groups to thrive in a competitive world. 

A hockey parent and avid reader, she also values her community and is the Treasurer for Brant Skills Centre, a local charity. Together with her husband Dave, she is raising three wonderful children.

Baetz is proud of Deane’s achievements, both personally and professionally. She believes that her addition to the Millards’ Partner team will bring additional strength to the firm and value to its clients.
